World AIDS DAY 2022
World AIDS Day, designated on 1 December every year since 1988, is an international day dedicated to raising awareness of the AIDS pandemic caused by the spread of HIV infection and mourning those who have died of the disease. The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County (DOH-Monroe) encourages residents and visitors to observe this international day in remembrance of the more than 1500 persons lost to HIV/AIDS in the Florida Keys.

The theme for the 2022 observance is “Putting Ourselves to the Test: Achieving Equity to End HIV”.(“El tema de este año para WAD se confirma como: Poniéndonos a Prueba: Logrando Equidad para Terminar con el VIH”)
